A non cyanotic congenital heart disease:
Between the left and right heart and abnormal flow channel. Under normal circumstances, due to systemic blood pressure higher than that of pulmonary circulation, blood from left to right heart shunt without cyanosis. When the play cry, breath or any pathology in the pulmonary artery or right ventricular pressure over left ventricular pressure, can make blood from right to left shunt and temporary cyanosis, such as ventricular septal defect and patent ductus arteriosus, atrial septal defect.
There is no abnormal channel and shunt between left and right heart.
A right heart abnormalities such as pulmonary stenosis.
B left ventricular abnormalities such as coarctation of the aorta, corrected transposition of the great vessels.
The cyanotic congenital heart disease:
There are abnormal channels and shunt between the left and right heart. Some reasons such as pulmonary hypertension and right ventricular outflow tract obstruction to right ventricular pressure is higher than the left ventricular pressure, blood flow from right to left shunt. Or a large number of venous blood flow into the body due to abnormal origin of large vessels. The capillaries reduced hemoglobin > clinical 50g/L. showed persistent cyanosis.
Increased pulmonary blood flow. Complete transposition of great arteries, persistent truncus arteriosus, total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage, single ventricle, common atrium, three tricuspid atresia with large ventricular septal defect.
The normal or decreased pulmonary blood flow: tetralogy of Fallot, pulmonary stenosis or atresia with ventricular septal defect and right to left shunt pulmonary hypertension, atrial septal defect, ventricular septal defect and patent ductus arteriosus with right to left shunt.
