What is chronic kidney disease (Chronic kidney disease, CKD)?

One of the following conditions, and duration of more than 3 months, is chronic kidney disease (CKD)

Proteinuria

Renal hematuria

B-mode ultrasonography, CT, or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed abnormalities in size, shape, or number of kidneys, such as kidney atrophy, polycystic kidney disease, and only one kidney (congenital or acquired, such as surgery or trauma)

Renal biopsy pathology: abnormal findings

Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) < 60ml/min/1.73m2

Chronic kidney disease was staged according to glomerular filtration rate (GFR)

1 phase, GFR> 90ml/min/1.73m2

2, GFR 60-89ml/min/1.73m2

3, GFR 30-59ml/min/1.73m2

4, GFR 15-29ml/min/1.73m2

Phase 5, GFR< 15ml/min/1.73m2 (or dialysis or renal transplant recipients)

Phase CKD2-5 represents renal damage and progresses.
